BASIC FUSION ON THE MOON

Nuclear Fusion is the most exiting idea as it may power both earth and the moon with fuel found on the Luna landscape. The idea of nuclear fusion is much further along than most are willing believe but were some say fifty years down the road I would say less. Fusion produces less radiation than fission and leaves no nuclear waste.

For this to happen Helium 3 would need to be the fuel and is considered one of the best fuels for fusion. It comes from the sun with solar winds and is imbedded into the surface of the moon. Helium is mostly destroyed by the earth’s environment so only a few hundred pounds of it are available on earth. Scientists have hacked and carved at each other for many years and have agreed that it is possible for millions or even trillions tons of the Helium 3 that have accumulated on the surface over time. It would give from the earth prospective about ten times the power of all the petroleum and coal production put together. Extraction of Helium 3 would be simple and heat would be all that would be needed along with a small robot that will skim the surface collecting regolith.
