This is what the Calgary Space Workers have and all the equipment for use of talking to the International Space Station 

The space workers coordinated with the Quarter Century Wireless Association to talk to the ISS a number of times in front of children at couple schools.

The project connected to the ham radio is not just for the ISS but also the potential use as a cell booster tower for emergency responds. By doubleing as a booster we can get funding for its availability as a communication control module for emergency reponds in remote locations.
